Job Summary
CNC Machinist needed to set up and operate multiple CNC machines including HAAS VF7 MILL, MAZAK ST450 LATHE, MAZAK V655 MILL, and WEILER E90 Lathe. Responsibilities include Mazatrol programming, manual adjustments to improve run times, reading dimensions and tooling from work orders and blueprints, verifying part conformance, loading/unloading material, planning complex setups, troubleshooting with high accuracy, and ensuring tool changes maintain product specs. Must demonstrate familiarity with controls such as Fanuc, Mazak, HEIDENHAIN, and Siemens, with proficiency in at least one and adaptability to in-house control. Ability to edit programs as needed, maintain traceability of machined components, handle special projects, and follow safety regulations. Shift is 6pm-6am with 9% differential; overtime after 40 hours; on-call required; located in Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 7 years’ related experience preferred
- Knowledge of machines and products manufactured required
- Shop math a must
- Must be able to be on call and work with minimum notice
- Must be able to read blueprints, technical documents, drawings, and diagrams
