Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC Wire EDM machines, conduct basic inspection, and perform hand finishing, parts cleaning, and other general tasks as required. Interpret blueprints and use inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers to hold close tolerances of .0002". Maintain shop floor math skills and understand manual machining or tool & die making processes. This role involves a full-time, regular 1st shift Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Candidates must have at least four to five years of experience setting up and operating CNC Wire EDM machines, with Sodick and Fanuc Robocut experience a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 4 - 5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC Wire EDM machines
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Understand shop floor math
- Ability to hold close tolerances (.0002")
- Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometer and caliper
- Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day
- Ability to move about, bend, stoop, use hands
- Ability lift up to 35 pounds unassisted
- Unaided visual acuity or corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/40 in each eye at infinity (20 feet) with the ability to distinguish colors
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Sodick and Fanuc Robocut machines a plus
- Knowledge in manual machining or tool & die making a plus
