Job Summary
Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and specialized grinding equipment to perform precision machining operations. Read complex technical blueprints and engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances. Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges to ensure part conformance. Monitor machine performance, adjust offsets, change tooling, and troubleshoot minor programming or mechanical issues to maintain tight tolerances. Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine daily equipment maintenance. This role requires at least two years of experience in a job shop or production environment with a focus on high-end, close-tolerance work for demanding industries.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment in a job shop or production environment
- Strong understanding of G-code/M-code
