Job Summary
CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist role focusing on running, programming, and setting up CNC Lathe/Milling equipment (Haas/Fanuc). Responsibilities include reading blueprints, inspecting parts, managing machine temperatures and warm-up/cool-down times, using micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges, tool presetting/comparators, and setting speeds/feeds. Programming at the machine (G/M code and Conversational) and adhering to safety regulations while maintaining an orderly work area.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience running CNC Lathes and Mills (Haas/Fanuc controls preferred)
- Experience operating horizontal machining centers
- Experienced in turning, drilling, boring and threading
- Ability to load and unload parts weighing 5,000 lbs or more
- Capable of completing own setups in machining centers
- Fixture making experience
- Skilled in measuring parts up to 40” in diameter
- Able to work independently
