Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce precision parts. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations and sequences. Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments, while troubleshooting machine operation, tooling, and part quality issues. Load and unload materials, adjust settings, and replace worn tools. Maintain a clean work area adhering to safety protocols. This opportunity is for experienced professionals within the West Michigan manufacturing region, with potential for immediate or future openings through our partner companies.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Experience with set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC mills and/or lathes
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
- Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Knowledge of various metal types, cutting tools, and machining parameters
