Job Summary
CNC Machinist - Programmer / Operator role requiring setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines (lathes, mills, drills) with strict tolerance control (within .0003”). Follow written and verbal instructions, read and implement work orders and drawings, and calibrate/inspect parts with micrometers and gauges. Must apply knowledge of materials (stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, exotics), preset tools, and perform maintenance and safety procedures. Minimum 3 years CNC programming/operating experience and ability to read drawings; high school diploma or equivalent with technical school training. Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills; capable of handling multiple priorities. Preferred experience with milling and turning operations and the ability to work with cross-functional teams across global sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with technical school education
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machine tool programming & operating experience
- Numerical control machining skills experience and ability to read and interpret work related machine drawings
- Capable of operating a minimum of 2 CNC machine tools
- Must be detail oriented; able to work independently using sound judgment
- Good verbal, written, problem solving and organization skills required
- Prefers someone with Mill and Lathe experience
