CNC Machinist - Programmer / Operator

Job Summary
Set up, program, and edit CNC machinery including lathes, mills, and drills while maintaining quality tolerances within .0003". Operate equipment based on work order routings, prints, and sketches, utilizing knowledge of various materials like stainless steel and alloy steel. Preset tools, re-sharpen as needed, and inspect finished parts using micrometers and calipers to verify conformance. Follow written procedures and preventative maintenance protocols, reporting equipment difficulties and unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Make labor and time reports, keep work areas clean, and resolve elementary technical problems while handling multiple priorities independently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with a technical school education and working machinist knowledge or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining programming and operating experience
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments
- Demonstrated numerical control machining skills with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work-related machine documentation
- Numerical control machining skills experience and ability to read and interpret work related machine drawings
- Can operate a minimum of 2 CNC machine tools
- Possesses previous experience as a Manual machinist
- Must be detail oriented
- Be able to work independently using sound judgment
- Good verbal, written, problem solving and organization skills
- Capable of handling multiple priorities
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
