Job Summary
CNC WIRE-EDM Machinist sets up, programs, and operates CNC wire and EDM equipment to produce tooling and parts to print, while supporting inspection, tooling inventory, and overall tool room performance. Key responsibilities include machine setup and operation, program CNC wire and EDM machines using Mastercam and conversational programming, interpretation of drawings and work instructions, maintaining electrode material and EDM wire, and participating in tool design and process reviews to support safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Requires safety awareness, integrity, and strong communication within a team; high school diploma or equivalent and CNC WIRE training are required, with 2+ years of CNC WIRE/EDM experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of formal technical training as a machinist, including CNC WIRE training
- Minimum two years of CNC WIRE/EDM programmer or machinist experience preferred
- Proficient with Mastercam, CNC wire/EDM programming, blueprint reading, precision measuring tools, troubleshooting, and tool room equipment including lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and surface grinders
