Job Summary
Write CNC programs using G & M codes, analyze drawings and specifications, and develop manufacturing plans to produce parts meeting all required specifications. Set up equipment, operate lathes, grinders, and milling machines, and perform secondary operations including light assembly, part trimming, and packaging. Monitor the production process, intervene when problems arise, and inspect finished parts for flaws and defects. Maintain machine shop equipment and take precise measurements using GD&T math skills. Move 50 to 70 pounds and remain stationary throughout a shift in this custom job shop environment serving agriculture, food processing, and construction industries.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Software and machinery
- Must be able to program with G & M codes
- Knowledge of how to operate grinders, lathes, and milling machines
- Knowledge of Lathe and Mill Equipment and Tooling
- Knowledge and understanding of GD&T
- Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations
- Ability to move 50 to 70 pounds and remain stationary throughout a shift
