CNC Machinist - Milling

Job Summary
The CNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC milling machines and machine centers to perform cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, and boring of metals. Reads and interprets prints/travelers/sketches to determine tooling requirements, set up procedures, control settings, and machining methods. Secures and aligns tooling and workpieces, installs cutting tools, downloads NC programs, and adjusts spindle position and machining parameters. Communicates with supervisors or programming associates to resolve program or machining problems; changes tools as needed and sets up according to required sequence. Inspects and measures parts for conformance, performs preventive maintenance, and completes quality documentation (SPC data). A minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required, with vocational training in machine tool technology preferred, and at least 5 years of CNC machining experience; must be a U.S. person.
