Job Summary
As a CNC Machinist you will independently set up machines for various jobs, execute efficient machine operation, and ensure parts meet specifications through inspections and documentation. You will proactively recommend and implement process improvements in collaboration with Engineering and Senior Machinists, assist in troubleshooting with Supervisors, Engineers, and Senior Machinists, maintain comprehensive machine operation logs, perform in-process and first-piece inspections, and conduct total productive maintenance on assigned machines. You will also train other machinists on job functions, controls, and machine operations, and uphold a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year certificate in machine trades preferred
- 2+ years of experience in CNC machining
- Previous experience working with CMM and VCMM
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Use hand-held measuring tools
- Basic knowledge of CMM, VCMM, and GD&T
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Promotes a sense of urgency to expedite work while maintaining quality
