Job Summary
Independently set up and operate Mill/Turn machines for various jobs while conducting in-process inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Troubleshoot production issues with support from senior staff to maintain smooth flow, assist junior machinists in resolving technical problems, and uphold a proactive safety culture by identifying potential hazards. Read blueprints, interpret G-code and M-code, and use hand-held measuring tools to perform basic calculations and ensure precision. Schedule includes Monday through Thursday, 4:30 pm – 3:00 am, onsite in Monticello, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Machining or related field, or work experience in place of education
- 2+ years' experience as a machinist
- Ability to express ideas, share information, listen actively, and demonstrate professionalism in written and verbal communication
- Able to read and interpret blueprints
- Able to use simple math to perform basic calculations
- Able to use hand-held measuring tools
- General knowledge of CMM, VCMM, and GD&T
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of reading G-code and M-code
- Excellent attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Monday through Thursday, 4:30 pm – 3:00 am, onsite in Monticello, MN

- Mori Seiki or DMG Mori Turn experience
