Job Summary
Setup CNC Mills and Lathes, run programs on samples, and develop tooling and fixturing solutions for new machining applications. Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T PER ASME Y14.5, select proper cutters for materials, and plan projects while using Fusion 360, Solidworks, or CAD/CAM to create CNC programs and macros. Operate multi-axis machines up to 5-axis mills and 4-axis lathes, edit G code by hand, and maintain lab/shop tools and consumables. Requires 2+ years of machining experience with hands-on CNC operation.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in machining and fabrication
- Experience with setting up and operating Multi-Axis CNC Machines (mills & lathes) up to and including 5-axis mills and 4-axis lathes
- Good Understanding of G code and hand-editing code at the machine
- At least 2-years years of hands-on CNC operation
- Strong CAD/CAM Experience (Solidworks) or MasterCam
- Fine motor skills and extreme attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
