Job Summary
Set, program, and operate CNC turning and milling machines with Siemens controls to produce carbon-based insulation components. Read engineering drawings, select tooling, optimize cutting parameters, and adjust offsets for accuracy. Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and CMMs. Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust programs, and improve processes to reduce downtime while ensuring machine maintenance and adherence to QHSE standards. This 2 x 2 nights shift role offers a blended salary of £49,204.17 inclusive of shift allowance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years' experience in CNC machining (programming, setting, operating)
- Strong knowledge of Siemens controls
- Skilled in precision measurement
- Capable of interpreting technical drawings
- Time-served apprenticeship
