Job Summary
Operate CNC lathes and mills to convert raw materials into precision finished goods within print tolerance specifications. Set up machines, read engineering drawings, and use fixtures or gauges to verify dimensional checks on large aerospace components. Work on multiple projects in an ever-changing, rapid-paced environment with little or no assistance, performing deburring and other fabrication tasks. Lift 35+ pounds unassisted and work overtime as required. US citizenship and clearance are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of experience years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes
- Intermediate knowledge of shop math skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- General knowledge, skills, and understanding with hand and power tools to include, deburring tools, wrenches, etc.
- Proficiency with precision measuring and fixed gauge equipment (micrometers, calipers, electronic height gauges, etc.)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted
- Ability to work overtime when required
- US Citizenship requirement
- Clearance requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the manufacturing of large aerospace components from exotic materials
- 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience
- Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic PC skills for data entry, timecard and production time entries
