CNC Machinist Lathes (Aerospace Manufacturing) 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Set up machines and machine complex parts with close tolerances using CNC Lathes and Mills with little supervision. Establish origins, run production parts, and perform in-process inspection while completing all documentation and SPC charts. Optimize production standards for maximum output and collaborate with Engineering and Quality to ensure blueprint compliance. Maintain good housekeeping, adhere to safety protocols, and make accurate ERP transactions. Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Work Monday through Thursday from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am.
Required Qualifications
- 4-7 years CNC Machining experience in a regulated industry
- Knowledge of set-up and operation of CNC machines
- excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints
- standing for long periods of time
- lifting up to 40 lbs
- Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company
- Must take medical exams required by law
- Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned
- Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy
- Must adhere to department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols
- Must comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed apprenticeship program
- journeymen certification
