Job Summary
Perform complete CNC setups, touch-offs, and tool offsets for high-complexity, short-run aerospace parts while reading and modifying G-code to optimize machining processes. Machine components to extreme tolerances using exotic materials and complex geometries, supported by manual operations on mills and lathes. Interpret complex engineering drawings with mastery of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, then verify CNC programs and inspect finished parts against AS9100D and ISO 9001 standards. Available for 1st or 2nd shift rotations with competitive pay ranging from $26 to $34 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of professional machining experience with a heavy emphasis on CNC setups and troubleshooting
- Proven ability to perform your own setups, offsets, and G-code modifications
- Deep experience in close-tolerance machining and fabrication of custom-designed equipment
- Strong ability to read complex prints and understand GD&T requirements
- Strong knowledge of precision machining tools, metal fabrication, and mechanical equipment
- Must be available for 1st shift (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday)
- Must be available for 2nd shift (5:30 PM - 3:30 AM, Monday - Thursday)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with 5-axis machining
- Proficiency in manual machining (mills/lathes)
- Previous experience in an Aerospace or Defense manufacturing environment (AS9100D/Nadcap)
- Experience with MasterCam software
