Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain multiple CNC 3-, 4-, and 5-axis periphery grinding machines to produce precision components while reading complex blueprints and GD&T specifications. Perform in-process inspections using precision tools to verify tight tolerances, load and off-load inserts, and document inspection results on route carts. Make necessary adjustments to grinding programs, maintain tooling, and troubleshoot moderate to complex problems by collaborating with technical experts. Adhere strictly to safety procedures and production sequencing plans to meet daily departmental goals. Work a rotating 12-hour shift from 6pm to 6am with a shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience (milling, turning, or grinding)
- Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, feeds/speeds, and setup processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with quality inspection tools and verifying tight tolerances
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to working safely
- 223 rotating 12-hour shift
- 6pm - 6am
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to 4-axis or 5-axis machining environments
- Basic understanding of G-code or CNC programming
- Background in precision manufacturing industries (aerospace, medical device, defense, etc.)
