Job Summary
Set up and operate large-format CNC milling and turning centers, including Cincinnati gantry mills and 5-axis machines, to machine frames and structural components for defense platforms. Load and verify programs, tools, offsets, and fixtures from setup sheets while adjusting machine parameters to hold tight tolerances. Work from complex aerospace blueprints and customer specifications, performing precise measurements with calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy. We train candidates with strong fundamentals on large-format equipment, offering guaranteed 45-hour weeks plus overtime and night shift differentials. This role is part of our aerospace and defense machine shop in Walnut, CA.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience
- 5-axis machining experience
- Strong understanding of G-code and tool paths
- Reads blueprints and GD&T
- Runs own setups from setup sheets: programs, tools, offsets, and fixtures
- Inspects own work with calipers, micrometers, and precision instruments
- U.S. person (citizen or permanent resident) — ITAR-regulated facility
