Job Summary
Perform complete setups, touch-offs, and tool offsets on short-run parts while editing G-code at the controller to troubleshoot and hold accuracy. Cut complex geometries in exotic materials for flight-critical parts using 3-axis, 5-axis gantry, and manual mills, lathes, and saws. Interpret complex engineering drawings with GD&T callouts and verify MasterCam programs with engineering to improve efficiency. Check finished parts with precision measuring tools to AS9100D standards. Start on days, Monday through Friday, with optional 2nd shift availability.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years professional machining experience
- Performs own setups and offsets
- Edits G-code at the controller
- Experience machining parts to close tolerances
- Reads complex prints with GD&T
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience running 5-axis machines
- Proficiency on manual mills and lathes
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing background
- AS9100D or Nadcap environment experience
- Experience fabricating custom-designed equipment
