Job Summary
Set up, operate, and optimize CNC and manual machining equipment while maintaining ITT Quick Change setup software and tooling. Train Level I and II operators on running CNC machines, gear cutters, and other manual tools. Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in setups and processes to support operational excellence. Keep the work area clean daily and ensure all setup tooling is properly maintained in holders. Work within tolerances of .0002" in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment requiring close vision and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This role serves as a technical resource for the team, with opportunities to apply Lean experience in setups and mistake proofing.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Must be able to perform simple shop math calculations
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Must have general computer experience
- Must be familiar with and maintain ITT Quick change setup software
- Must be proficient with quick change tooling
- Must be able to set up and operate a variety of CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and mill turns
- Must be capable of working within tolerances of .0002" in a high-pressure, fast-paced, quality- oriented environment
- Knowledge of all machines measuring equipment and their use
- Ability to lift 35lbs frequently
- Minimum 2 years CNC machine shop experience as a machinist operating CNC machine
- Must be able to comprehend the meaning of the calculation
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and general maintenance
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must wear required safety equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses
- Must be able to work weekends, alternate shifts, and overtime

- Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee or Refugee
