Job Summary

Operate, set up, and program CNC lathes and mills with minimal assistance while interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and G/M code. Load raw materials, use measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements, and perform complex tool wear offsets and work shifts. Execute daily maintenance, clean the machine shop environment, and assist in organizing the work area. Provide feedback on process improvements, attend scheduled meetings, and communicate professionally with co-workers and management. Maintain ISO compliance and safety procedures while adhering to manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 7+ years experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with CNC Machining
  • Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
  • Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required

  • Proficient G and M code knowledge
  • Experience in CAD/CAM software
  • Part processing
  • Fixture design and work holding knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficient knowledge of GD&T
  • Must be self-sufficient
  • Familiar with MAZAK controls
  • Familiar with Haas controls
  • Familiar with Fanuc controls
  • Proficient understanding of cutting tools
  • Aerospace experience
  • Associates or other training
  • Ability to perform complex tool wear offsets and work shifts
  • Ability to follow manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Ability to utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures
  • Ability to comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management
  • Ability to attend scheduled meetings and actively participate by providing meaningful input
  • Flexibility with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant
  • Ability to communicate honestly, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrate effective listening skills
