CNC Machinist III

Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers based on complex blueprints, models, and process specifications. Select cutting tools and fixtures for various materials, then perform precise dimensional measurements to verify conformance to tight tolerances. Record part quantities and process data in the ERP system while inspecting completed parts and taking corrective action for defects. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance machining efficiency and assist engineering teams with new product designs and tooling strategies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all safety regulations. This role requires 6-8 years of related machining experience and excellent math skills for dimensional calculations.
Required Qualifications
- 6-8 years of related machining experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints, customer specifications, and work instructions
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
- Solid understanding of machining principles, feeds/speeds, cutting tools, and materials
- Proficient with basic computer functions and ERP data entry
- Strong problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work area
- Excellent math skills, including fractions, decimals, and dimensional calculations
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of reaching, handling, and manipulating parts and tools for long durations
- Adequate vision for close work, depth perception, and fine measurement tasks
