CNC Machinist II-Swiss Experience 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Operate and set up CNC machines within specified tolerances, performing progressive machining of various parts and metals while maintaining close tolerances. Change tooling for wear, conduct routine maintenance per daily checklists, and perform hand finishing. Ensure product quality using operator-owned standards and measuring equipment, then record all activities on job tracking systems. Adhere to safety protocols, GMP/GDP practices, and 5S housekeeping standards while identifying and escalating manufacturing issues. Achieve set productivity targets and support continuous improvement activities. Work the Swiss 2nd shift with a differential, meeting company financial metrics within Tecomet's win-first culture.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3+ years CNC Machining experience
- Ability to operate, setting up and maintaining a CNC Machine
- Ability to run multiple CNC Machines
- Solid necessary math skills, including measuring and keeping count records
- Effective at planning, prioritizing and organizing tasks and activities with the ability to deal with competing demands within specified timescales
- Ability to follow work instructions
- Proven record of quality, on-time production runs
- Demonstrable commitment to safety at all times
- Attention to detail alongside ability to perform repeatable task over a prolonged period of time
- Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player
- Ability to identify problems and escalate as required
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Solid computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship
- Experience of working in a production environment
- GCSE/NVQ Math and English (UK only)
