Job Summary
The CNC Machinist II role involves performing tasks defined by specifications, drawings, and work instructions to machine production and prototype parts from various materials. Key responsibilities include setting up and operating multi-axis lathes and mills with extremely tight tolerances, training lower-level machinists, conducting inspections, and maintaining equipment. Candidates should have strong problem-solving abilities, technical skills, and experience in machining environments, specifically with low volume, highly engineered products. A high school diploma and relevant machining experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience machining low volume, highly engineered product with little or no scrap or 1 year experience with trade school certification in Machining
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T
- Understanding of G&M code programs
