Job Summary
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines using engineering drawings and machining programs to manufacture precision components. Select tooling and fixtures to ensure quality, efficiency, and repeatability, while editing and optimizing CNC programs to improve performance. Perform manual machining on Bridgeport-style equipment, inspect finished parts with precision measuring instruments, and conduct deburring and finishing operations. Troubleshoot machining issues, recommend process improvements, and mentor less experienced machinists. Maintain accurate production records, keep work areas clean and safe, and adhere to quality standards. Work Sunday through Thursday from 10:00pm to 6:30am EST. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Commitment to producing high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with production and engineering teams
- Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or individual granted asylum or refugee status)
Desired Qualifications
- CNC programming experience
- Experience with Bridgeport-style manual mills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
