Job Summary
The CNC Machinist I will operate large CNC-controlled lathes, mills, and rough crankshaft milling machines. Responsibilities include manufacturing components according to specifications, operating CNC milling equipment, planning setups based on product specifications, performing in-process inspections, and adhering to plant safety rules. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to read CNC programs, and proficiency in using precision measuring instruments. Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Familiar with general computer applications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Results oriented
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient at operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment
