CNC Machinist I

Job Summary
The CNC Machinist I will operate large CNC-controlled lathes, mills, and crankshaft milling machines. Key responsibilities include flexibly performing tasks in support of the manufacturing process, operating CNC equipment while meeting close tolerances, and performing setups based on specifications. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, read and interpret CNC program manuscripts, and use precision measuring instruments. The role requires physical strength for material handling and adherence to plant safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be results oriented
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient at operating forklifts and overhead cranes
- Ability to work a variety of work schedules and overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Three or more years machining experience preferred
- Familiar with general computer applications
- Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
