CNC Machinist I

Job Summary
CNC Machinist I will operate large, CNC-controlled lathes, mills, and rough crankshaft milling machines. Responsibilities include flexibly performing tasks for the manufacture of components as directed by specifications, running CNC equipment while meeting tolerances, performing setups and executions according to blueprints, operating precision tools, conducting inspections, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Job requires strong ability to read and interpret CNC programs and understanding of metalworking principles, along with physical demands including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Three or more years machining experience preferred but not required
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Familiar with general computer applications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient at operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment
- Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
