Job Summary
The CNC Machinist I operates CNC machine tools, primarily focusing on precision aerospace components. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, loading materials, monitoring operations, performing inspections to ensure quality, reading blueprints, and maintaining accurate records according to AS9100. The position requires basic G-code programming knowledge and adherence to safety and quality standards. High school diploma or GED is required, with one to five years of relevant experience and proficiency in measurement tools and CAD/CAM software. Personal attributes include a commitment to continuous improvement and effective communication skills. This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) to five (5) years of related manufacturing and machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Proficient in math and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- General understanding of aerospace industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100)
- Familiarity with CAD, CAM, MRP and ERP systems
- Proficiency with MS Office and other Office products
Additional Requirements
- Legally able to work in the U.S.
- This position is designated as Safety Sensitive under Oklahoma law, including the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. This requires drug testing and prohibits the use of medical marijuana, even with a valid license.
