Job Summary
CNC Machinist wanted to set up and prove out programs on 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines and machining centers to manufacture complex parts from metals and composites for aerospace and defense. Responsibilities include working from routed instructions, manufacturing process plans, blueprints and verbal directions under moderate supervision; planning and making setups using required tools; using a variety of hand-held measuring instruments; possibly writing programs at the machine; downloading and uploading programs at the machine; and completing routers as operations finish. The role requires reading blueprints, applying GD&T, and leveraging G&M coding knowledge, with tools and experience to ensure tight tolerances and high-quality results. Equal-opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school career machine trades program is preferred
- G&M coding experience
- Ability to read blue prints and working knowledge of GD&T
- Mechanical and spatial aptitude
- Must have own tools
