Job Summary

Operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools to process raw materials into tooling components for welding and fabricating operations. Program, setup, and adjust CNC milling and turning machinery to produce high-quality parts while managing daily workload and estimated completion dates. Maintain plant tooling and fixtures per preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshoot equipment issues, and report machining problems promptly. Effectively manage CNC programs and historical data on a network database, perform designated maintenance functions, and share knowledge through training with co-workers. Adhere to all company regulations, 5S activities, and safety standards while participating in continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be self-motivated and self-directed
  • Must have logical and mathematical reasoning
  • Must be able to identify equipment issues, analyze the root cause, and develop a repair plan
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to reach, bend and twist
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Must be able to communicate complex issues clearly
  • Must be able to access data bases and retrieve files
  • Must be able to read/interpret blueprints
  • Must be able to set up, program and operate CNC machine centers and other equipment
  • Understanding basic speed and feed calculations
  • Ability to perform algebraic and trigonometric calculations, metric conversions
  • Well-developed written and oral communications

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical school certification in Machining preferred
  • prefer ability to weld
