Job Summary
Optimize machining processes and improve production efficiency by taking ownership of CNC operations from setup through process validation. Test, validate, and refine new and existing CNC programs, fixtures, and tooling while interpreting manuals to develop custom macros for advanced operations. Load parts, operate multi-axis CNC centers, inspect components, and troubleshoot issues to meet OEM standards. Partner with programming and engineering teams to adjust cutting parameters, implement best practices for new part launches, and document root cause analyses. Maintain quality standards while supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives and staying current with emerging technologies like AI and robotics automation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with CNC machining and process optimization
- Ability to set and verify centerline on 3-, 4-, and/or 5-axis CNC machines
- Strong troubleshooting and machining problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of G-Code (required)
- Experience setting and adjusting boring heads
- Experience with Okuma OSP-300 and/or Fanuc controls
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- U.S. Persons status (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted refugee or asylum status)
- Proof of eligibility for ITAR access
