Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC Mills, lathes, and 5-axis machines while producing high-quality parts that meet shop standards. Read prints, program using CAM systems or G-code, and complete daily job requisitions to meet time standards. Plan workloads using priority lists, collaborate with programmers to improve processes, and recommend tooling improvements. Maintain clean work areas, perform routine machine maintenance, and assist with material loading, inventory, and training. Base pay ranges from $30 to $40/hour with shift premiums and a $12,000 sign-on bonus available for CNC Machinist II. Requires 5+ years of CNC experience and 2+ years programming.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years CNC machine setup and operation experience
- 2+ years programming experience (CAM, conversational, and/or G‐code)
- Two‐year machining degree or 5+ years industry experience
- Strong math skills with ability to convert metric/standard
- Proficient with prints, tooling, machining methods, and precision measuring tools
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues, especially on mills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Independent worker who maintains accuracy with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude in fast‐paced or challenging situations
- Stand or walk for most of the workday
- Lift 40 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs with assistance
Desired Qualifications
