Job Summary
Set production machinery for acceptable processes, obtain run approval, and edit G and M code to prove out programs and set ups. Operate 5-axis CNC mills while analyzing machine, tool, and program issues to make basic repairs and handle minor routine maintenance. Utilize fixtures and indexing devices to control critical tolerances, assure conformance to quality specifications using gages, and meet production quantity and quality standards. Ensure safety guards and personal protective equipment are in place, follow work instructions, and communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of specific department equipment and their processes
- Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions
- Able to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action
- Must meet DOD eligibility requirements
- Minimum 5+ years CNC Machining experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience running Hurcos and Okumas
