Job Summary
CNC Machinist on day and night shifts performing setup, editing, and operation of 5-axis CNC machines. Responsibilities include setting production machinery, interpreting and editing G and M Code, proving out programs, and running 5-axis CNC Mills and Lathes. Must analyze machine, tool, and program issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure tolerance and quality specifications using gages and indicators. Strong communication with team, adherence to safety, and compliance with instructions and company policies are required. Leverages experience with aerospace/DoD components to deliver high-precision parts for critical programs; candidates should demonstrate ability to diagnose changes, perform repetitive and custom work with fixtures and indexing devices, and maintain continuous improvement in a fast-paced shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years CNC Machining experience
- Thorough knowledge of specific department equipment and processes
- Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions
- Able to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes
- Must meet DOD eligibility requirements
- Ability to read, interpret and edit G and M Code
- Ability to prove out programs and set ups
- Ability to run 5 axis CNC Mills/ Lathes
- Meet production quantity and quality standards
- Follow and enforce work Instructions, procedures, and company policies
