Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, and surface grinders, to manufacture airplane cargo systems parts. Read technical drawings and specifications while performing inspections to ensure finished parts meet required tolerances and quality standards. Conduct routine maintenance on machine tools and select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different jobs. Adhere to safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, and report faulty equipment. Collaborate with engineers to resolve production issues and improve machining processes. This role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent with four years of related experience, proficiency with Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, or Hurco controls, and knowledge of precision measurement equipment. Eligibility for US Government export control authorization is required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- four years related experience and/or training

- Knowledge of precision management equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, gauge pins, gauge blocks, etc.)
- Understanding of blueprint interpretation, tooling, fixturing, and machining processes
- The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and kneel
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance
- occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Employees should be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Horizontal Machining Centers and Vertical Machines preferred
- Experience with CNC milling and turning operations, a plus
