Job Summary
Plan machining processes by reviewing work orders, blueprints, materials, and specifications to ensure accurate production. Program machines by inputting instructions, setting tool registers and offsets, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. Monitor stock levels and request necessary materials from purchasing. Ensure part specifications are met by adhering to quality assurance standards and procedures. Provide innovative solutions to enhance component production efficiency. Maintain machinery by following preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs as needed. This role supports the production of components for air pollution testing and custom equipment manufacturing within a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with basic metalworking
- 5+ years experience operating CNC machines
- Experience with milling
- Experience with grinding
- Experience with press machines
- Basic machine setup skills
- Basic operator skills
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Willingness to train the right candidates
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a motor vehicle record review
- Must possess a valid driver's license
