Job Summary
Operate and program CNC machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision metal or plastic parts by setting up machines, writing and testing programs, and making adjustments as needed. Complete changeovers, set up and offset tools, and read blueprints to ensure high-quality output. Troubleshoot and fix issues when errors occur while maintaining a clean work area and following all procedures. Lead or supervise crews as experience allows.
Required Qualifications
- Must know how to operate and program CNC machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders that are controlled by a computer to produce precision metal or plastic parts
- Must know how to complete a change over, set up and offset tools
- Must know how to read blueprints
- Must know what to do when an error happens to be able to troubleshoot the issue and fix the problem
- Must know how to maintain a clean work area and follow all procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Lead/Supv experience in leading crews a plus
