Job Summary
Operate automated and manual machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, to produce precision metal parts according to mechanical drawings and engineering specifications. Utilize Fanuc controls to input G & M code, calculate feeds and speeds, and set up machines with appropriate tools. Interpret measuring tools to verify finished workpieces meet required dimensions and tolerances while following setup sheets and work instructions accurately. Review manuals and sample parts to determine specifications and support team operations with related tasks. Swing shift is preferred with a schedule from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, M-F. Forklift certification and 3+ years of CNC experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- CNC Machinist with 3+ years of experience operating lathe and milling machines
- Strong proficiency in CNC machine operation
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of machine shop tools and equipment
- Familiarity with workplace safety protocols and guidelines
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift certification
