Job Summary
Edit CNC programs, operate 3-axis and horizontal CNC mills, and manage production, inspection, and machine duties to meet product specifications. Read blueprints, interpret sketches, and modify G-Code while adjusting offsets for conformity. Perform first article and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and height gages, plus build fixtures, deburr parts, and replace cutting tools. Execute daily maintenance checks, train entry-level machinists, and monitor multiple machine tools. Maintain a safe workspace and follow established safety protocols. Requires three years of machine tool experience in an ISO/AS/MIL STD environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 years' experience working with CNC Machining and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability of producing parts utilizing manual mills and lathes
- Able to interpret and edit CNC programs at the machine
- Ability to read blueprints and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required to set up each operation
- Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools
- Knowledge of machining the following materials: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and assorted plastics
- General math skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Regular scheduled attendance
