CNC Machinist - Aerospace & Defense industry!

Job Summary
The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing complex aluminum parts for the Aerospace and Defense industry, starting from setup and proofing of machined components to operation of CNC milling machines. Key responsibilities include performing in-process inspections, operating multiple CNC machines, detecting variances in job standards, and ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards. Candidates must have extensive CNC setup experience, mandatory 4th axis machining experience, and skills in modifying basic CNC programs as well as using precision measuring tools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years CNC setup experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mandatory 4th axis machining experience
- Prototyping and first piece development with programs experience a plus
- Capable of running and setting up all CNC machines in the department
- Understands and can modify basic CNC programs
- Ability to make basic fixtures and jigs
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial indicators
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
