Job Summary
The CNC Machinist will operate various manual and CNC machines to fabricate precision parts while interpreting blueprints and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include setting up machines, performing routine maintenance, overseeing the first-piece inspection, and maintaining accurate records of fabrication activities. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience operating machinery, along with basic math and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- 1+ year of demonstrated experience with the operation of manual and computer-controlled machinery
- Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gages
- Knowledge of machine controls and programs
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned materials requests
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of machinist and manufacturing experience
- Experience with set-up and operation of manual equipment and computer-controlled machining and turning centers
