Job Summary
Operate and monitor CNC machining centers and lathes during 2nd shift operations to produce precision components, including setting up machines, installing tooling, and verifying setup accuracy. Read blueprints and engineering drawings to machine parts to exact tolerances while performing in-process inspections with precision measurement instruments. Adjust machine offsets and feeds to ensure consistent quality, troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtime, and maintain cleanliness and safety compliance. Collaborate with team members to meet nightly production goals and accurately document machining data throughout the shift. This role requires 2+ years of CNC experience, willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime, and is located in Eugene.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience
- Proficiency in operating CNC mills and/or lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utilize precision measurement tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Problem-solving abilities
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
- Willingness to work 2nd shift
- Willingness to work overtime
Desired Qualifications
- Formal machining or manufacturing training
- Knowledge of G-code, tooling, and machining processes
