Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components while reading blueprints and interpreting specifications. Perform inspections using gauges, micrometers, and calipers to verify parts meet dimensional and quality requirements, changing tooling and fixtures as needed. Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot machining issues, and complete quality documentation. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve efficiency and support continuous improvement efforts. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. This role offers a salary range of $24–$31 plus a 10% shift differential and a sign-on bonus, with opportunities to advance into setup, programming, and mentoring positions within a modern, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
