CNC Machinist (2nd Shift)

Job Summary

Prepare and operate a 3-axis CNC mill, water jet, and turning centers by importing 3D models into programming software and generating G-Code files. Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting vises, chucks, tools, and attachments; prepare and load raw materials safely. Inspect and measure all parts for desired results, check and maintain CNC machinery daily for preventive maintenance, and enter drawings and bills of material into machine manuals. Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints while staying current with engineering concepts and training new employees. Work as a member of a team, attend scheduled training sessions, and demonstrate core values in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in CNC Machining or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years' experience running CNC or manual type equipment
  • Strong knowledge of CAD CAM software
  • Project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Work independently, as well as, in a team environment
  • Document management system
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
