CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Operate computer numerical control machines by interpreting geometric dimensions, tolerances, and work instructions to manufacture parts to required quantities. Perform precise measurements and inspections using tools like calipers and micrometers to verify conformance to specifications, while managing tooling, fixturing, and in-process adjustments. Monitor machine readouts for malfunctions, report faulty hardware or non-conformances to supervisors, and maintain a clean, safe 5S work environment adhering to all safety protocols. Adhere to facility safety procedures and provide timely feedback to managers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of machining experience
- High school degree or equivalent
- Proficient in operating and programming CNC machines
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM)
- Understanding of GD&T
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and materials up to 50lbs
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms
- Capable of standing for long periods and working in various industrial settings (e.g., machine shops)
- Ability to withstand loud noise environment
