CNC Machinist 2

Job Summary
Plan and perform CNC turning and milling operations to machine a variety of metal parts. Work from blueprints, engineering instructions, specifications, and blueprints. Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers. Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools to perform precision machining operations. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines. Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for the job. Check parts to ensure proper lubrication and cooling. Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment. Maintain records and documents for in-process inspection data. Report faults and adhere to safety and housekeeping standards. Willingness to travel up to 5% domestically. Must meet US Person/ITAR requirements. Minimum HS diploma or GED and 3+ years of CNC machining experience. Reading/writing English proficiency and ability to communicate professionally. Knowledge of CNC codes (G-codes) and machine operation, ability to read blueprints, and interpret engineering work instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
- High School Degree or G.E.D
- 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
- Ability to travel domestically – 5% max
