Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision components for aerospace and automotive industries, reading engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure exact tolerances. Program and adjust machines using CAD/CAM software, managing tool offsets, feeds, and speeds while inspecting finished parts with precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime, maintaining a clean work area that adheres to strict safety standards and protocols. Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to improve production processes and ensure all work meets rigorous industry quality and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years as a CNC Machinist in a high-precision manufacturing environment
- Expertise in operating CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
