Job Summary
Plan and perform various CNC turning and milling operations to machine metal parts to specifications under the supervision of the Operations Manager. Setup, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools while aligning fixtures and cutting tools. Work from blueprints and engineering instructions, then measure, examine, and test completed units using precision instruments to ensure conformance. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment, and maintain records of inspection data. This first-shift role supports Hanwha Aerospace USA's development of flight-critical aerospace components in Cheshire, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a 'U.S. Person' as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
- High School Degree or G.E.D
- 1+ years of CNC machining experience
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
- Ability to setup and operate CNC turning and milling machines
- Ability to measure using standard shop tools, machine tools, and engineered gaging to close established tolerances
- Knowledge of G & M codes
- Ability to travel domestically – 10% max

- Precision Manufacturing Certificate preferred
